Why it matters
Traditional dry cleaning often relies on solvents that linger on fabric and in the air.
We built Leaf Line around a different standard: choose the gentlest effective method for each garment, favour biodegradable detergents, and avoid chemistry that leaves a harsh residue or strong smell.
Your clothes should come back clean, soft, and ready to wear — not coated in the process that cleaned them.
How we work
Three habits that shape every order.
Fibre-first decisions
We inspect labels and construction before cleaning. Wet-clean methods with biodegradable detergents handle most “dry clean only” pieces; where a specialist solvent is needed, we use modern, low-toxicity options — never perchloroethylene.
Less packaging waste
Bring a reusable bag or hangers and we will return garments the same way. We minimise single-use plastic and prefer paper or reusable covers when protection is needed for transport.
Quiet studio habits
Efficient machines, measured detergent doses, and sorting that reduces re-washes. Small choices that add up across a week of Islington laundry — for your wardrobe and for London’s air and water.
